A body was discovered at Cmdr. Robert Ramirez III’s San Diego County home on Monday. He was the SEAL Team 1 commanding officer.
It is not believed that foul play was involved in the decorated officer’s death, according to a statement released on Wednesday by Naval Special Warfare Command officials.
According to Navy officials, the inquiry is still ongoing by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

David Abernathy, commanding officer of Naval Special Warfare Group 1, said in a statement that Bobby was “an excellent leader, loving husband and father, and a close friend to us all.” “Our community and everyone who knew him has been devastated by his passing.
