Google services went down or showed instability on Monday morning (14). Users from multiple countries reported a problem with Search Engine, YouTube, Gmail, Sheets, Classroom, Drive, Maps, Hangouts, Meet, and Calendar.
According to the DownDetector website, complaints started around 8:30 a.m. and peaked at 9:00 a.m. Then they slowed down. The tools were unstable for about 45 minutes.
In a statement, Google said the decline in its authentication system was “due to a problem with managing its internal storage quota”. All services have been restored.
Falls have been recorded in Brazil, the United States, Asia, and several countries in Europe.
The topic soon became one of the most debated on social media. At 10:31 a.m., Gmail went from red, temporarily suspended, to orange, indicating an interruption in service. In this case, users can access the email, but they experience error warnings or delays in loading messages.
With the exception of Gmail, all other services were given the green light as early as 9:52 a.m., indicating that there are no issues.
