If you’re a low-income senior and an individual with no private income. The GAINS are for your aid. It is the monthly payments that are provided to the ones who have been getting the pensions, and the individuals who have no private income are eligible for the payment of the GAINS. The Government of Canada and its Canada Revenue Agency have been engaged in providing a numerous number of benefits to its citizens.
The Province guarantees that eligible Ontario seniors will have at least this minimum level of income. GAINS provides a monthly, non-taxable benefit to low-income Ontario seniors and individuals.
Monthly GAINS Payments Range From $2.50 To $83.
If you have no private income, you’ll receive the maximum benefit of $83 a month.
Your payments will change accordingly as your income or marital status changes.
The guaranteed income level is updated every three months to take into account inflation.
