Terra Craft Limited’s owner, Francis Kiambi, passed away.
The late Kiambi was discovered dead in his bedroom following a minor argument with his wife, Mary Waigwe Muthoni, regarding an Sh2 billion debt that he wanted the wife to guarantee.
Ms Waigwe Muthini informed police that after spending some time at a nightclub, she and her husband came home together around midnight.
After the wife allegedly refused to stand for her husband’s guarantee to obtain an Sh2 billion loan, he sought to launch a business, and the pair is said to have experienced domestic issues.
How did Francis Kiambi Matanka die?
A well-known politician and businessman from Tharaka Nithi County named Francis Kiambi Kiriiro, also known as “Matanka,” has reportedly passed away.
Matanka, the founder and CEO of Patiala Distillers, inexplicably passed away. In a Nairobi residence, his lifeless body was found.
The death of the billionaire was announced by the Tharaka Nithi County Governor, Muthomi Njuki, who also led his administration and the entire Tharaka Nithi fraternity in expressing their condolences.
Muthomi thought of Matanka as a socially conscious, the forward-thinking person everyone connected with but could not do so without learning something. He also expressed gratitude for what the man had done for Tharaka Nithi and the general public.

The community is inconsolable about Francis Kiambi Matanka’s cause of death.
Matanka’s lifeless body was discovered at his Nairobi residence on January 9 in the early morning.
The late Kiambi was found dead in his bedroom following a dispute with his wife, Mary Waigwe Muthoni, about an Sh2 billion debt he wanted her to guarantee.
Ms Waigwe Muthini informed police that she and her husband returned home together at around midnight after spending some time at a nightclub. The husband and wife allegedly had marital issues when the wife reportedly refused to sign on as his guarantor for him to obtain the Sh2 billion loan he needed to start a business.
The 50-year-old politician-turned-businessman was found dead with vomit by his bedside after their quarrel, having gone to sleep in separate bedrooms.
The body of Kiambi was transported to Lee Funeral Home while police started their investigations.
It has not yet been revealed what caused his death. Police are reportedly investigating the matter at this time.

After getting hurt during a rally sponsored by the then-president Uhuru Kenyatta, the deceased was hospitalised in 2017 while running for the Tharaka Nithi senate seat.
The politician was rushed to Chuka Boys High School to board his chopper after the Uhuru demonstration. The rider, according to sources, suddenly hit the brakes to avoid a fatal head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle.
Matanka had significant knee injuries due to being thrown from the pillion. He was brought to a medical facility in Nairobi and eventually admitted.
Who was Francis Kiambi Matanka?
In addition to being a prosperous businessman, Matanka was a politician who unsuccessfully sought the Senate seat for Tharaka Nithi in 2017. The current CS defeated him for the Interior, Kithure Kindiki. Matanka has continued to operate since his abrupt departure.
Kiambi unsuccessfully sought election to the Senate from Tharaka Nithi County in 2017. Before it, Terra Craft Limited was allegedly involved in runaway tenderpreneurs.
IAAF Scandal
Terra Craft Limited was a party to the massive International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF) affair in which funds intended to help this country’s youth were embezzled by dubious companies and tenderpreneurs.
According to the Auditor General’s Report, Terra Craft was paid an astounding Sh78 million even though it rendered no goods or services and did nothing.
The current PS deliberately approved these questionable payments, funded by the Ministry of Sports. Despite calling the Auditor General’s report “false,” the PS can find himself in the same predicament as his former employee Lillian Omollo.
