Sean Patterson, a 33-year-old British national who was visiting Jamaica, was discovered dead on January 2 at around noon in his vacation rental. According to Jamaican police, Patterson was the victim of a “contract killing” by “unknown assailants.”. Police earlier this week found the west London-born British national in a “pool of blood” with gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
Near the swimming pool in Patterson’s vacation rental in Bogue Hill, St. James, police made the dreadful discovery of his murder. According to reports, the 33-year-old shared a villa with a second man who was also from London. Our investigation has thus far postulated that the murder was a contract killing that began in Britain, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Fitz Bailey’s video statement..
What other details are known about Patterson’s slaying?
Fitz Bailey provided additional information regarding Patterson’s murder, revealing that the 33-year-old had arrived in Jamaica on December 29, 2022, and had spent some time at an apartment before checking in to the villa on Bogue Hill on New Year’s.
Patterson and the other man he was lodging with met a third Kingstonian after getting to the guest villa. The three people were all staying at the same house, according to the police, but in different rooms. According to Bailey’s statement, shots were fired by a “lone man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt” when Patterson and the Jamaican man were at the villa’s pool around noon.
The third man, who met Patterson in Jamaica, claimed that when loud explosions were heard, he had the 33-year-old’s back to him. The Kingston man told the police that he saw a lone man carrying a handgun and shooting Patterson before running into the bushes.
Bailey also stated that while working with international partners in the UK, law enforcement has made “significant progress” without providing any further details.
