Siphiwe Mkhonza Died: What’s the cause of death?

The soccer family is very saddened by the loss of Siphiwe Mkhonza, a former Kaizer Chiefs player who went dead at the age of 45 in early March 2024. He was lovingly referred to as “Dr. Mnandi” by all. He had a significant influence on South African soccer, and many are deeply saddened by his untimely death.

Mkhonza played center back for numerous teams, including Bloemfontein Celtic, Ria Stars, Lamontville Golden Arrows, and Kaizer Chiefs, beginning with his modest upbringing in Gauteng. He even made seven appearances for the South African national team.

Who was Siphiwe Mkhonza?

Mkhonza began his professional career at Bloemfontein Celtic after being born in Kwa-Thema, Springs.

Before receiving his big chance in 2004 with the Chiefs, he also played for the Ria Stars and Golden Arrows.

After spending three years with the club and winning every domestic title available, he was able to transfer to Bafana Bafana and gain a few caps.
