Who was Black Worrior?
López was born on January 7, 1969, and was a luchador, or professional wrestler, who mostly wrestled in Mexico. Under the ring moniker “Black Warrior,” he had the most success. Jess Toral López began his professional wrestling career in 1989, performing for numerous organizations like the International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
He had a lot of success under the ring moniker “Black Warrior,” winning titles including the IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship and the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship. He joined Nueva Generacion Dinamitas, a heel Rudo stable created by Cibernético and El Alebrije, in 2012. Black Warrior had a string of victories over Blue Demon Jr., Mistico II, and La Sombra during this period. He joined Welcome to Mi Barrio from Tepita in 2018, where he performed until his death in 2021.
