Alexis Vidler, 17, has been reported missing from her home by the Celina, Texas, police since January 2. They have issued an urgent amber warning and are requesting the public’s help in finding her.
Ms. Vidler was apparently last seen at 7:19 p.m. on Monday in the 2000 block of Tapadero Drive in Celina, 40 miles north of Dallas.
A black 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage with the license plate RYT5102 is wanted by police, according to the Texas Department of Safety.
Although they haven’t formally named a suspect, they think Ms. Vidler may have been kidnapped and is in grave or immediate danger, which is why they issued the alert.
According to CBS, the Celina Police Department believes that she may have initially “voluntarily left” the residence where she was staying and that there is no cause to believe that she poses a threat to the local community. On Facebook, the department announced that it is working with additional neighborhood organizations to gather data to ensure Ms. Vidler’s safe return.
The alert describes the missing girl as being 5’5″ (1.65m) tall, weighing 138 pounds (63kgs), with brown hair and hazel eyes.
We don’t currently know what she was wearing when she disappeared.
Calling the Celina Police Department at 972-382-2121 is encouraged if you have any information.
