America voted, and Bryce Leatherwood won The Voice season 22.
During Tuesday night’s two-hour conclusion of the NBC singing competition, viewers eagerly watched as a native of Georgia was crowned the new champion. After defeating fellow Voice contestants bodie (Team Blake), Morgan Myles (Team Camila), Omar Jose Cardona (Team Legend), and Brayden Lape, the heart-pounding news was revealed (Team Blake).
It was shocking that Bodie didn’t win
On the other side, there were some fans of The Voice who were sad that bodie did not win the competition. “Wow! A follower said, “THAT was a SURPRISE, but Bodie WILL make it without the victory.” “BODIE! WAS! ROBBED!” someone else tweeted. “Bryce was incredible, but Bodie, oh my god, he should have won. “I’m unfortunate,” someone other chimed in.
Even though there can be only one winner of The Voice, we are certain to hear more from Bode, Morgan, Omar, and Brayden in the future. Fans may be aware that Bryce will sign a recording contract with Universal Songs Group, and we’re crossing our hopes that he’ll release new original music soon.
As Bryce’s last performance, he performed “Hillbilly Bone” with fellow Voice coach Blake Shelton. It was the conclusion of a wild 22nd season, which began with his unforgettable blind audition of “Goodbye Time” by Conway Twitty. After Blake welcomed Bryce to his squad as the reigning Voice coach, the up-and-coming musician continued to stand out with his heartfelt songs and fashionable attire. In addition, other Voice coaches, Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and Camila Cabello, were as thrilled by his performance.
Five singers made it to the final, but only one was declared the winner: Bodie, Omar José Cardona, Morgan Myles, Bryce Leatherwood, and Brayden Lape.
Contestant had a tough competition
Lape finished in the fifth position, Cardona in fourth, followed by Myles and Bodie.
Team John Legend was represented by Cardona, Team Camila Cabello by Myles, and Team Blake Shelton by Bodie, Leatherwood, and Lape. Gwen Stefani was left without a representative in the finals after her last surviving Voice, Justin Aaron, was eliminated the week prior.
During the second portion of the finale, the coaches performed alongside their performers. While Cabello and Myles sang “Never Be the Same,” Legend and Cardona performed “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” Shelton appeared on stage three times with his finalists, first with Leatherwood to perform “Hillbilly Bone,” then with Lape to do “Chasing That Neon Rainbow,” and finally with Bodie to perform “God’s Country.”
Celebrating the crowning night, musical guests filled The Voice stage throughout the night. One Republica played “I Ain’t Worried,” Adam Lambert sang “Ordinary World,” and Maluma performed “Junio” and “Tukoh Takoh.” Also included were Girl Named Tom with “One More Christmas” and Breland with “For What It’s Worth.” Shelton returned to the stage to perform the duet “Different Man” with Kane Brown.
Kelly Clarkson, coach of The Voice Season 23, was also a musical guest with “Santa, Can’t You Hear Me?”
