Funds for the family of Yakira Chambers
On Wednesday, 30 November 2022, our dear Yakira Chambers Welch abruptly died away from severe asphyxiation. Yakima was such a beacon of light and a symbol of optimism within our community that her untimely death has rendered us all inconsolable. Yakira’s death is especially tragic because she has only begun pursuing her aspirations. She was recently chosen for the ViacomCBS Writers Mentoring Program and is currently a member of the NCIS: Hawaii writing crew. Yakira’s untimely departure was painfully observed by her husband, the love of her life, Anthony Welch, her stepson, André, and her mother, Constance Chambers.
Her untimely and unexpected death has resulted in several unanticipated expenditures, including those for her burial and for the loved ones she was helping to cherish and care for. We are humbly requesting your assistance. We wish to send our angel, our queen, Yakira Chambers Welch, home in a manner befitting of the love, kindness, and support she bestowed upon us during her life. Please consider a contribution. During this tough time, any amount can actually assist her family.
