The helicopter in which Colombian President Iván Duque was in was attacked by bullets in the north of Santander on Friday afternoon (25). No one was hurt.
The president was traveling from Sardinata to Cúcuta – the main city in the region, on the border with Venezuela – when the vehicle was repeatedly hit.
Duque was accompanied by Diego Molano, Minister of Defense, and Daniel Palacios, Minister of the Interior.
The three were in the area, days after an attack on an army barracks, to present plans for the economic and social revitalization of the area, according to Duque reported on Twitter.
The Colombian military confirmed the information but did not give details of the attack.
