One woman saw her doctor in the first few months of her first pregnancy because she suffered from worsening migraines and believed that her condition would worsen as her stomach increased. She believed the central pregnancy symptom to her problem was disgust. She refused food and the smell of food made her so sick that she almost always fasted. Years ago he had learned from experience to recognize food deprivation as a trigger for his migraines.
