A judge in New Mexico has scheduled a trial for Alec Baldwin, who is charged with murder in the shooting of the 2021 western movie set “Rust.”
The scheduling order entered Monday calls for jury selection to start on nine July, with the trial starting the day after today with establishing statements via unique prosecutors and Baldwin’s protection legal professionals. The lawsuits are expected to last 8 days.
Baldwin, the lead actor and a co-producer in the movie, pleaded not responsible in January, the day before he changed his schedule to be arraigned. A grand jury had indicted him after prosecutors acquired a new evaluation of the revolver he was to use in the course of filming, renewing a price that prosecutors originally filed and then disregarded in April 2023.
