Ryan Murphy – Unfolding his skills, has bought another must-watch horror for the audience to test their blood pressure and patience levels. This came as a pleasant surprise to the fans. The talented writer, director, producer, and creator Niecy Nash-Betts, together with Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville, shocked fans by revealing on Instagram that she was helming a brand-new horror drama series called Grotesquerie.
Additionally, he released a trailer for the show, which is anticipated to begin filming soon in preparation for an FX fall broadcast. The promo, which was uploaded to the shingle’s account on Friday, described it as a “new horror drama series” that will premiere this fall.
The video dropped in Murphy’s all-text video includes some audio of Nash-Betts’s character, in which she says, “I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now,” says Nash-Betts’ character. “There’s been a shift, like something’s opening up in the world — a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness.
Further, The video continued where there were dialogues like “You say, ‘Well, hon, evil has always existed,’” that “things are getting better, there’s never been a better time to be alive!’” she continues, but “it’s not getting better! Something’s happening around us, and nobody sees it but me.”
No other details of the series have been revealed, but it has really tickled the wave of excitement in the people. The teaser has surely teased a lot of people and is surely going to occupy the weekends of its viewers. The teaser for “Grotesquerie” merely revealed Murphy’s involvement, the cast, and the autumn launch window; plot and character specifics were not yet known. A request for comment from FX was not answered right away.
“Grotesquerie” would represent Murphy’s second new endeavor and first FX original since he established a general agreement with Disney following the expiration of his Netflix contract in June. It was revealed in December that Murphy and Kim Kardashian would work together on a Hulu legal drama.
Murphy and FX have been together since “Nip/Tuck” in 2003. Along with the upcoming “American Sports Story,” he is still producing the FX anthology shows “American Horror Story,” “American Crime Story,” and “Feud.”
