Bob Edwards was born on May 16, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky. He made a mark in the history of broadcast journalism. It all started with his career as a radio man in Indiana; in 1974, he became an important person at NPR.
During this period from 1979 to 2004, when he was the host of “Morning Edition,” Edwards became known as a respectable person, famous for his calm character and insightful interviews.
Though he left NPR in 2004, Edwards still did not cease to have an impact on the business, hosting shows on XM Satellite Radio and even returning to “Bob Edwards Weekend.”
His work was honored with numerous awards, among them a Peabody Award, and he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2004.
Bob Edwards’s Cause Of Death
Edwards died on Saturday, 10 February 2024, at the age of 76 years old due to a cardiac disorder and bladder cancer. Windsor Johnston, the wife of the late John Stewart, broke the news of his death via Facebook, saying he died with both his children around him.
Johnston has thanked for the “well wishes, loving memories, and messages of healing” that have been sent during this challenging time.
Apart from that, she told us that Bob Edwards was an inspiration to modern-day journalists and that she recently celebrated 12 years of marriage with him.

Johnston Windsor, an American nationality, turned 45 years old already on September 2, 2022 She is an American journalist and has the job of a reporter at the NPR news network. Windsor, a journalist alongside, also teaches as an adjunct journalism professor at American University, having previously taught at Temple University from 2004 to 2012, also her alma mater.
Windsor had acted as a freelance reporter in Kenya before working for NPR. Windsor met her husband, Bod, during an interview for his book “Edward R. Murrow: “The Rise of the Broadcast Journalism.”
In 2010, Bob and Windsor met on Facebook again and started dating. The following year, in 2011, they got married, being 64 and 34, respectively.
Before marrying Windsor, Bob was married twice. He separated from his second wife, Sharon, after 30 years of marriage and had two kids with her, Eleanor and Susannah.
Presently, Bob is the father of two girls, Eleanor and Susannah, and his stepson is also called Brean Campbell.
