Usher headlined the Super Bowl LVIII halftime display in Las Vegas — but he wasn’t the best performer soccer lovers got to see singing as a part of festivities surrounding the 2024 massive sport. There have also been some surprise guests in store.
Before the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers confronted off on the sphere, pregame performers included Reba McEntire making a song for the national anthem, Andra Day, and Post Malone.
Who Carried Out The Super Bowl Halftime Display For 2024?
Usher’s performance on the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show was first introduced in September.
It’s the honor of a lifetime to ultimately test a Super Bowl overall performance off my bucket list. “I can not wait to carry the arena a show unlike anything else they have seen from me earlier than,” Usher said at the time.
In an interview on CBS, “Sunday Morning," he said it’s a moment he’s dreamed of for the maximum of his professional lifestyles.”
“You know, all of us say they want to win a Grammy, or they need to win an Oscar, or a Tony, or an Emmy. A Super Bowl is something that everybody desires to play," he said. “ And right here it is. It occurred."
The eight-time Grammy winner has been a warm-price ticket in Las Vegas for the past 12 months with a residency that exceeded all expectations, and he says the greats who have come before him are constantly in his thoughts.
“I suggest the history of African Americans who had to carry out right here and could not go through the real casinos… Now, to be right here, residency, it is like, man. What a whirlwind,” he stated.
In an interview with “CBS Morning, co-host Gayle King, Usher shared a chunk of advice he got from JAY-Z, the Super Bowl’s live music enjoyment strategist.”
“He left it to me to, you recognize, make sure that I failed to omit the culture. That’s the only issue that he said. ‘You know, we are doing this for the culture,’’ Usher said. ‘’I need you to play the ones that we — that we love, that we understand you for. Give ’em the moments that they, you already know, look ahead to seeing,” like, ‘Go for the subculture.’ And I’m like, ‘All proper, I got you.’”
