A band representative informed Variety on Thursday that Trimble, an instrumentalist and founding member of the 1990s indie rock band, passed away on Tuesday following a battle with cancer. Luscious Jackson was named after an NBA player. She was the major mind behind forming the group Luscious and also the one who made bandmates Jill Cunniff, Gabby Glaser, and Trimble laugh.

Trimble was featured on the band’s first two albums, Natural Ingredients in the year 1994 and Fever In Fever Out in the year 1996. The two collections were delivered by the Beastie Young men on their mark, Excellent Regal. Trimble left the band before the release of Electric Honey in the year 1999 and was not present at the 2011 reunion.

How Vivian’s Band Members Paid Tribute to Her?

On the official Instagram account of Luscious Jackson, Trimble’s surviving members, Jill Cunniff, Gabby Glaser, and Kate Schellenbach, acknowledged Trimble’s passing.

They posted that they all together were deeply sorry to inform the fans that their beloved friend and band member Viv passed away on Tuesday. The post also stated that she had been undergoing cancer treatment for several years when she experienced a complication on Monday and that her passing away was unexpected for them.

The post went on to state that Vivian was an extraordinary companion and a skilled performer and choreographer, however, it was being an accomplice to David and a mother to Nate and Rebecca that brought her the best happiness.

More About Luscious Jackson

In the year 1991, Trimble was a member of the New York City band Luscious Jackson. Natural Ingredients, the group’s debut album, was released in the year 1994. The 1996 single “Naked Eye,” included in the album Fever In Fever Out, helped the group succeed.

The other hit singles by Vivian Trimble include “Deep Shag/Citysong,” “Here,” “Ladyfingers,” and “Love is Here.”

Trimble and Cunniff likewise shaped the side task Kostars and delivered the collection Klassics with a ‘K’ in the year 1996. Moreover, in the year 1998, Trimble split from Luscious Jackson. She proceeded to frame the music couple Dusty Paths with Josephine Wiggs, which delivered a self-named collection in the year 2000.
