Is Riley Clark in jail? Charged with assault is Katherine Clark’s daughter
Authorities claim that U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark’s daughter assaulted a Boston Police officer trying to apprehend her for damaging a monument on the Boston Common on Saturday night.
During a demonstration over the weekend, Riley Dowell, 23, of Melrose, wrote “NO COP CITY” and “ACAB” on the Parkman Bandstand Monument, according to Boston Police.
A group of about 20 protesters “surrounded policemen while chanting profanities through megaphones on the public street, causing traffic to come to a halt,” according to Police, as they attempted to arrest her.
While obstructing Jared Dowell’s arrest, an officer received a hit to the face and was bleeding from the mouth and nose, according to a statement released by Boston Police on Sunday.
She was accused of assault with a dangerous weapon, injury to or destruction of personal property, and tagging or graffiti damage to property.
Clark spoke out against political radicalism earlier this month during the debate over whether to choose Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House while blaming the Republican Party.
Riley Clar, the daughter of Katherine Clark, where are they now?
Police have stated that Dowell would be charged in Boston Municipal Court.
In a message on social media Sunday afternoon, Clark attested to her daughter’s Boston arrest.
In the parenting cycle of joy and agony, Clark posted on Twitter, “I adore Riley, and this is a difficult time. “I am convinced that the legal system will investigate this.”
Andrea Colletti, 27, of Brighton, was detained close to the Parkman Bandstand Monument on Saturday at 10:30 p.m., according to Boston Police, after attempting to flee on foot.
After a brief argument, police enforcement officials said, “She was taken into custody.” Colletti was accused of resisting arrest, destruction or injury to personal property, and property damage by graffiti or tagging.
Additionally, Colletti is due to show up in Boston Municipal Court. Another person was detained in Boston for graffiti and resisted police about an hour after Dowell.
Following a brief foot pursuit, cops caught Andrea Colletti, 27. Before being placed in handcuffs, Colletti engaged the officers in a short struggle.
Meanwhile, Antifa demonstrations in Atlanta turned violent on Saturday, with rioters brandishing explosives and chanting, “I can’t breathe,” when police caught them after they set cars on fire, threw fireworks, and broke windows with hammers.
