The two-story building at 916 South-West Warren Avenue was engulfed in flames when firefighters from the Topeka Fire Department arrived at around five in the morning. According to reports, when the house caught fire, there were four people inside. A call was made for the rescue crew to arrive.

Both an adult and a child were removed from the residence. The rescuers attempted to provide them with life-saving care, but the infant was later declared dead at a hospital. Both the adult and the child were hurriedly taken to a hospital. Later, a child and another adult were discovered inside the residence. The rescue personnel found both of them unconscious. Sadly, they were also given official death certificates at the site. One adult and two children died. On Friday morning, three persons perished in this horrific occurrence.

One of the two kids who died in the fire disaster was identified after the accident by the Public Topeka School. Peyton Tyler, who was in the fourth grade at Lowman Hill Elementary School, was the child in question. TSP stated, “It is with great regret that we share Peyton Tyler, a fourth-grade student at Lowman Hill, who went suddenly this morning due to a fire at her house. Since the first grade, Peyton has gone to Lowman Hill. Peyton was a popular student who is remembered for her optimism and enthusiasm. She was adored by many people and will be missed by all of the staff and students at Lowman Hill.

How did Peyton Tyler pass away?

According to the Topeka Fire Department, workers arrived at 916 SW Warren Ave. at five in the morning.

They arrived to see the two-story house enveloped in heavy smoke and flames. Unfortunately, the fire spread to a place south of where it originated.

When the fire started, there were four people residing there. Rescuers began saving the lives of the parent and children as soon as they were taken out of the structure.

Both of them were hurriedly sent to the hospital, where it was later determined that the child had died.

According to reports, a second adult and child were found inside the residence unresponsive and pronounced dead.

Since the first grade, Peyton has gone to Lowman Hill. Peyton was a popular student who is remembered for her optimism and enthusiasm. She was adored by many people and will be missed by all of the staff and students at Lowman Hill.

“The family called the school this morning, and a mental health team was in place today at Lowman Hill to ensure children received help and services before they started their weekend. The school will have our mental health crisis team on duty the following week.

“We will inform the workers and family when we get additional information about memorial services. Keep the family in your prayers and your thoughts.

There is currently no additional information available regarding the victims. The event is currently under investigation by the police. Investigations into the fire’s origin are ongoing.
