The incident happened around 4:00 p.m. on 76th Street SW in Byron Township, off Indigo Ridge Drive. According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, a pickup truck driver slowed down to avoid colliding with a spinning car. The driver of the Jeep attempted to avoid the van by rolling onto the shoulder, but they suddenly swung back onto the road and collided with it. The van collided with a vehicle after crossing the center line.

The sheriff’s office confirmed on Monday that it is still investigating the case.
