They can only understand what you show them. Going from covid to the FCF, combining out of our own pockets across the state, taking a year off and playing flag football, and finally placing a $100 bet on myself made the three years worthwhile in just nine months.

In Memory of Saulsberry

The sadness and agony I’m going through right now can’t be put into words. Parenting involves getting to know and love the kids your kids play sports with.
Playing Coaches pitch with my son Drew Arent was Christian Saulsberry, the cutest and most agile young youngster. This little kid has had my heart since I was a small child, and I used to tell everyone that “that boy is going to make it big someday.”

At Southaven High School, our boys would play football matches later, in the seventh grade. As we watched Christian play, we were all in amazement once more.
To attend North Point, Christian transferred to high schools and excelled in football.

Social Media Posting

After the defeat, fans and friends alike sent their condolences on social media, calling the teammates’ affection for Saulsberry “strong and undeniable.”

The Elks added, “Our thoughts go out to his family during this difficult time. We also want to send our sympathies to all his friends, including his players and coaches—both in Edmonton and elsewhere—whom he positively influenced during his football career.

According to a statement from Canadian Football League commissioner Randy Ambrosie on Twitter, Saulsberry’s passing has grieved many in the league.
