Paul John Hollywood, an English celebrity chef and television host, was born on March 1, 1966. Since 2010, he has served as a judge on The Great British Bake Off. As a youth, Hollywood started working in his father’s bakery. He later held the position of head baker at several hotels in the UK and abroad. After returning from his job in Cyprus, Hollywood made several guest appearances on BBC and ITV programmes in the UK. He started his broadcasting career with culinary programmes before branching out into other things like driving.

Early life, education and early career

Hollywood was born in Wallasey in 1966. Cheshire, the son of John F. Hollywood, a bakery owner, and Gillian M. Hollywood (nee Harman). He attended The Mosslands School, according to . Hollywood attended the Wallasey School of Art in Liscard Hall to study sculpture,but quit to work as a baker.

He started off working at his father’s York bakery, the corporate office for a network called Bread Winner that eventually reached as far south as Lincolnshire on the east coast, before moving on to other bakeries in the Merseyside area. The Dorchester, Chester Grosvenor and Spa, and the Cliveden Hotel were among the hotels where he finally rose to the position of head baker. He subsequently travelled to Cyprus and began working at two resorts.

Hollywood was discussed in the BBC genealogy documentary programme Who Do You Think You Are? in August 2015. The show discovered that his great-great-grandfather, Kenneth MacKenzie, had worked as a police officer for the City of Glasgow Police in the 1850s and that his grandpa, Norman Harman, who fought in the Army during World War II, had participated in the Tunisia Campaign and the Battle of Anzio.

Donald MacKenzie, Hollywood’s great-great-great-grandfather, was a crofter in Poolewe, Wester Ross. Additionally, Donald served as the postrunner between Poolewe and Dingwall, covering a distance of 60 miles (97 km) on foot. He walked this distance every week while in his forties for more than ten years. He lasted into his eightys.

While shooting the show, Judge Paul Hollywood admitted to adultery on his wife, which eventually led to the breakdown of his marriage. He isn’t the only judge on the programme, though, who has had an affair. Prue Leith, 81, has also committed adultery, and she slept with the spouse of her mother’s best friend.

A judge on the Great British Baking Show since its debut in 2010, Hollywood has long been one of the most well-known cooks in the United Kingdom. However, Hollywood visited the country in 2013 to serve as a guest judge on the American edition of the programme.

That led to Hollywood having an affair with American chef Marcela Valladolid while still married. Hollywood and his wife Alexandra have a kid named Joshua together and had been wed since 1998. But after he strayed, Alexandra ejected her husband from the house. Hollywood said that it was her “worst life error.”

His colleague judge Prue Leith has also acknowledged having an affair in addition to Hollywood. From 1972 through 2002, the South African chef was wed to novelist Rayne Kruger. However, the pair had a 13-year covert relationship before getting married. Her mother’s closest friend, Nan Munro, was married to Kruger.
