Zendaya, a well-known Hollywood actress, recently revealed if she planned to return for a third season of the HBO series Euphoria. The actor claimed that although she is not in control and hence cannot actually promise anything to anyone, she cannot foretell what would happen.
“If it’s appropriate for the characters and everything goes as it should, naturally. But I can’t understand it,” Zendaya said to Variety.
Zendaya is unsure about the production
At the Los Angeles premiere of her film “Challengers,” Zendaya, who portrays Rue in the HBO series, told Variety on Tuesday night that she wants to see the show return but is unsure of when or if Season 3 would start production.
Due to the double-whammy WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood, as well as the passing of co-star Angus Cloud, who played drug dealer Fezco, in July, production on Season 3 had already been delayed.
Cloud, 25, died after an accidental overdose after ingesting multiple narcotics, including benzodiazepines, cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.
HBO previously stated in November of last year that “Euphoria” would return in 2025; however, this was before to the March postponement.
It’s unknown how much longer HBO can postpone the show, but it looks like a resolution to the scripts and scheduling by year’s end would be necessary to save a third season of Euphoria.
