lOLFIn Monroe County, a guy wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Alabama has been apprehended.
The Huntsville, Alabama, Police Department was looking for Malcolm Derr, 19, of Madison County, Alabama, for a killing that occurred in Huntsville on March 23.
At the intersection of 7th Street and Sarah Street in Stroudsburg on Thursday afternoon, Derr was taken into custody by officers of the Pennsylvania State Police and the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.
State police said that Derr was wanted by the Huntsville (Alabama) Police Department for a homicide that occurred in Huntsville on March 23 and was connected to a shooting. State police in Stroudsburg say he was brought into custody at the intersection of 7th Street and Sarah Street without any problems.
After his arraignment, bail was rejected. In anticipation of his repatriation to Alabama, Derr was transferred to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
