According to the most recent opinion survey, President Joe Biden is lagging behind his chief rival, Donald Trump, in six of the seven key states ahead of the US election that is set for November.
According to the Wall Street Journal study, voters are generally unhappy with the state of the country’s economy and have serious concerns about Joe Biden’s qualifications and effectiveness in his position.
Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina are the six battleground states where Trump has a two to eight percentage point lead. But in Wisconsin, Biden is ahead of Trump by three points.
In the survey, there was a minimum of 16 percentage points—and up to more than 20 points in four states—between the negative and positive opinions of Biden. Only one of the seven states—Arizona—gave Trump a negative job rating throughout his tenure in the White House, the site continued.
In addition, the survey results showed that rather than Trump having better physical and mental health, the majority of viewers thought he was a better fit for the presidency. Whereas Biden received 28% of the favorable votes, Trump received 48%.
The source went on to say that the 4,200 votes that were surveyed—600 in each of the seven states—were collected between March 17 and 24, with a margin of error of plus or minus 1.5 percentage points for the entire sample and 4 points for the results in each state.
