A California woman who went missing in February was discovered dead in southwestern Arizona, according to local authorities.
Amanda Nenigar, 27, was discovered dead on March 29 in La Paz County, Arizona, according to the sheriff’s office. She was reported missing by her family on February 28 and last seen near Blythe, California.
Nenigar’s automobile was discovered on March 12 in a remote area of La Paz County, south of Cibola, according to the sheriff’s office.

“The family has been alerted and has made a statement requesting privacy while thanking the public for their support in locating Amanda. “We ask that you respect the family during this time and refrain from spreading rumors and assumptions,” the sheriff’s office stated.
The circumstances surrounding her death and how she died were not immediately known.
“This is still an active investigation and a pending autopsy will determine the cause of death,” the agency added.
