Dave Myers, widely known as one half of Britain’s beloved “Hairy Bikers” TV culinary team, died on Thursday following a battle with cancer, his co-star and long-time friend Si King said. He was 66.
Myers and King rose to prominence in the United Kingdom and worldwide with their “Hairy Bikers” television series, which was an odd blend of a motorcycle trip show, comedy, and cooking show. The formula became extremely successful, and the bearded team has written over 25 cookbooks.

On the Hairy Bikers – Agony Uncles podcast in May 2022, Myers revealed that he had cancer, but he did not specify which form.
In interviews in 2023, he stated that there were instances during his chemotherapy treatment when he was too unwell to walk and unable to ride his motorcycle owing to instability.
