Sarasota School Bus Accident: 4 Students, Driver have Minor Injuries

In a concerning incident on Beneva Road, a Sarasota County School bus carrying 35 students was involved in a multi-vehicle crash. The accident, which has raised alarms about student safety on the roads, occurred under circumstances that are still being investigated by local authorities. According to reports, the school bus, identified with the number #2018, became entangled in a collision that not only involved multiple vehicles but also sent shockwaves through the community concerned for the well-being of those on board.

About the Incident 

The Sarasota County School District reports that near the intersection of Clark Road and Beneva Road, bus #2018 collided with a Ford Bronco.

Thirty-five kids from Venice High School were on the bus, according to district officials. Before it crashed, the bus, according to reports, had departed from Suncoast Polytechnical High School.

Four pupils and the school bus driver needed minimal medical attention, according to the school system. The parents of the students have been informed, according to the officials.

According to the SCSO, the drivers of a Ford Bronco and a school bus were sent to a nearby hospital due to injuries. We do not now know the full degree of their injuries.

At the crossroads of Meridale Road and Beneva Road, approximately south of Clark Road, all driving lanes on Beneva Road are blocked.
