In a tragic incident that unfolded in Birmingham, Alabama, a man identified as Colbey Cade, aged 33, was shot yesterday. The incident took a shocking twist when the victims, both Cade and an unidentified female fellow, searched for refuge at a local fire station; they crashed the bay door of Fire Station 30 on Springville Road.
Cade and an unidentified female companion were in the vehicle when the vehicle crashed into the bay door of the fire station. After the incident happened, they were rushed to UAB Hospital; even after immediate medical attention and aid, Cade died due to his injuries around 7:30 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
The vehicle in which Cade was found was perforated with bullet holes, painting a fierce picture of the incident that led up to their arrival at the fire station. The female victim’s condition is still unknown.
The Birmingham Police Department has started a homicide investigation into the incident. As the city comes to know about this shocking incident, they mourn the loss of Cade.
