Who Was Bushwhacker Butch?

Bushwhacker Butch was born in Auckland, New Zealand, on October 21, 1943. He started his wrestling career in the 1960s and quickly made a name for himself in the New Zealand and Australian wrestling circuits.

Bushwhacker Butch’s Career in Wrestling

In 1972, Bushwhacker Butch went to the United States and began wrestling for various promotions, including the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). But his stint with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) made him a household name.

Bushwhacker Butch and Luke Williams, known as The Bushwhackers, made their WWF debut in 1988. They quickly became fan favourites due to their unique marching style to the ring and their comedic antics. The Bushwhackers remained with the WWF (now WWE) until 1996.
During their time in the WWF, The Bushwhackers were involved in several memorable feuds and matches. They also competed in the 1991 Royal Rumble, where they marched to the ring and were immediately eliminated by Earthquake.
