Who is Jane Danson?
Jane Danson, born with the name Jane Elizabeth Dawson on 8th November in the year 1978 is an English actress. Jane is best known for playing the character of Leanne Battersby in her ITV soap opera called “Her Coronation Street” which aired from the year 1997 to the year 2000 and then again from the year 2004 onwards. For her character of Leanne in Coronation Street, Danson won the British Soap Awards for Best Dramatic Performance in the year 2011.
When she was just 12 years old, Danson made her official television debut under the name Jane Dawson in the television series by Alan Blessdale called GBH, where she played the role of Eileen Critchley. Moreover, from the year 1995 to the year 1997, Danson played the role of “Paula” in the ITV children’s television drama called “Children’s Ward”.
Later in the year 1996, she also appeared in the British children’s comedy show called “Out of Tune,” which aired on CBBC. Jane also appeared in the first episode of her BBC program called “Hetty Wainthrop Investigates” which aired in January of the year 1996.

Danson began relation her now husband, former Brookside actor Robert Beck in the year 1999. After relation for nearly 6 years, the two decided to get married in December of the year 2005. Jane and Robert two met at the British Soap Awards that were held in the year 1999. Jane said that she had been in love with Beck since she was 15 years old and speaking about their marriage, Danson said that Rob is her best friend in the world and they surprisingly, they only had two fights in 20 years.
Their wedding ceremony was held at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Lancashire. The couple has two sons together named Harry, who was born in July of the year 2006 and Sam, who was born in February of the year 2009. In December of the year 2018, unfortunately, Danson and Beck had a miscarriage with their third child, which they discovered during the three-month scan.
