Get Me Out of Here! The late spouse of actor Brian Paddick was documenting his vacation on social media in the days leading up to his untimely death.
Brian Belsvik informed followers on Monday that he and Petter had been “found peacefully alone, with no cause of death immediately evident” in their home in Norway.
Petter’s final Instagram photos were only days before his husband’s devastating news at the beginning of this week, and they featured shots of “brutalist snow” in Oslo during the weekend.
Liberal Democrat Brian, 64, announced his spouse’s untimely death on Twitter: “My lovely, beloved husband, Petter Belsvik, has died at our house in Oslo. There was no evident trauma or struggle leading up to his death when he was discovered. What transpired will likely take some time to determine. We were so in love; now I just feel empty within.
Petter, an Oslo-based civil engineer, was recently quite social media-active, posting a photo of a wintry landscape from near his house in the Norwegian city.
Petter captioned his last Instagram photo, which was of a structure covered in snow, “Brutalist snow [love heart emoji] #erlingviksj #pilestredet #brutalistarchitecture #oslove.”
Earlier this month, he sent his 1029 Instagram followers an update from Cape Town, South Africa, captioning a sunny picture with the word “beautiful.”
In October of 2022, Petter’s ex-politician husband Brian posted a photo of the two of them in front of a chopper at Hilo International Airport. That was the last time the couple would appear in public together.
Brain captioned the photo, “The Sun tabloid ran a headline when I went naked on a reality tv show,” 21 weeks earlier. Here we are again with “The Copper with the Chopper,” huh?”
While on vacation in Ibiza in 2008, Brian, a participant on the eighth season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, met Peter at a bar. Eight days after Norway legalised same-sex marriage in January 2009, the couple tied the ceremony in Norway.
As Brian said to the Daily Mail in 2009, he and Petter met while he was just minding his own business on vacation in Ibiza. Even though we just spent 24 hours together, I left on my last day convinced that I would never see him again.
He continued, saying there was a “divine intervention” since Madonna was performing at Wembley Arena and Petter was going to be in town to watch her.
