Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson was born on October 25, 1984 in Santa Barbara, California, at the Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital Her parents, Maurice Hudson and Mary Hudson (née Perry), are both pastors. Angela, her elder sister, is also a musician, as is David, her younger brother and the other sibling in the family.
