During “The Masked Singer,” Dick Van Dyke Astounded The Judges

Some erroneous Masked Singer predictions may not be easily digested with a spoonful of sugar. The first of two celebrities to reveal their identities on The Masked Singer’s season 9 premiere on Wednesday was Dick Van Dyke. He was shocked that judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke thought he was Robert DeNiro or Dustin Hoffman while performing as Gnome.

Dick Van Dyke’s Early Life

Hazel Victoria and Loren Wayne “Cookie” Van Dyke, both salespeople, were in West Plains, Missouri, on December 13, 1925, when Richard Wayne Van Dyke was born. In Danville, Illinois, he was raised. He is Jerry Van Dyke’s older sibling, who played his brother in The Dick Van Dyke Show. Although he also has English, Irish, and Scottish heritage, Van Dyke is a Dutch surname. John Alden, a traveler on the Mayflower, is the ancestor of his family.

He and the former Margerie Willett were wedded on the radio program Bride and Groom on February 12, 1948, while they were performing at the Chapman Park Hotel on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.
