Austin Majors: Child Actor On ‘NYPD Blue,’ Dies At The Age Of 27

In a statement, his family praised him as “a loving, artistic, clever, and caring human being.” Former child actor Austin Majors, best remembered for his part in NYPD Blue, has passed away. He was 27.

Majors passed away in Los Angeles on Saturday, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. His reason of death is still unknown.

His family described him as “a loving, artistic, smart, and lovely human being” in a statement given to TMZ. Austin cherished and was extremely proud of his acting profession. He graduated from high school as Salutatorian and was an enthusiastic Eagle Scout. After attending the USC School of Cinematic Arts, he graduated with a penchant for music production and directing.

The statement continued, “Kali, Austin’s younger sister, says her favourite memories of Austin include growing up on set with him, volunteering with “Kids With a Cause,” and going on backpacking trips together. We will always miss Austin because he was the kind of son, brother, grandchild, and nephew that made us proud.

Austin Setmajer, who was born on November 23, 1995, in California, attended the University of Southern California to study film and television production.

Majors made his on-screen debut in the 1997 movie Nevada. Prior to landing his most well-known role as Theo Sipowicz, the son of Detective Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz), in the series NYPD Blue, he had made appearances in the film The Price of Air and the television programme Providence.

He received a Young Artist Award in 2002 for his work on the comedy or drama TV show NYPD Blue.
