When Kelly’s family members lost contact with him at around 5 p.m. on January 21, including his mother and fiancée Taylor Perrin, they initially reported him missing. The musician from Oscoda, Michigan, who traveled almost three hours to the Detroit club to perform, informed the audience that the event had been postponed and that he would try to locate another location.

On January 23, Kelly’s automobile was discovered near Warren, a city north of Detroit, but the three missing men were not inside. According to Detroit police, it is very unusual for three persons to go missing at the same time, therefore law enforcement agencies in Warren, Oscoda, and Melvindale have now joined forces to investigate the case.
