Rita Ora, the pop artist, revealed her marriage to Taika Waititi in an interview with Heart Radio Breakfast. The news comes five months after a source told PEOPLE that the pair married in a “very tiny” ceremony and after Waititi and Ora stoked marriage rumours by wearing what seemed to be wedding bands on social media. “Yes. We’ve arrived. “When asked if she was married, Ora stated. “Everything occurs for a reason, they say. People, I’m officially off the market!”
Ora Describes “Perfect” Wedding
During a radio interview, Ora expounded on her “beautiful” wedding, explaining that it was “absolutely, exactly as I wanted it.” Ora noted that the proposal was more of a “let’s just go for it” moment, but the wedding was precisely what she had dreamed of with her partner. “It was really lovely and ideal,” Ora added. “Exactly the way I wanted it – sometimes just to myself. It was cute… Sorry, but it’s not that fascinating! I plan to organize a great party one day. I’ll decide when to have a large celebration.”
Ora’s New Music Reflects on Rumors Surrounding Marriage
Ora, who has not yet decided whether she wants to take on the Waititi surname, revealed that her upcoming album is her musical response to the speculations surrounding their marriage. The allegations have been circulating for quite some time. Her debut single, “You Only Love Me,” as well as the music video for the song, were both released on Friday. The track featured guest appearances by Kristen Stewart, Lindsay Lohan, Jodie Turner-Smith, Chelsea Handler, Addison Rae, Alexander Stewart, and Sharon Stone.
“Is she the one who spread the falsehoods in the first place? I was interested in conducting some tests on it.” She disclosed it. “I wanted to act out a wedding when things didn’t go according to plan, not that that truly took place… Despite the fact that I was interested in what may have been, I decided that it was best to keep details of this kind of occurrence more private. As a result, I am disseminating this information to the general public of what may have been.”
A press release describes the new music video for “You Only Love Me” as being a combination of “Stepford Wives” and “Alice in Wonderland.” The film also has Ora attending a staged wedding. The animated film comes to an end in a real fire, and the entire thing is as crazy as a wedding day could be. Sd she remarked that even though this is not precisely how Ora’s wedding day transpired, she hopes that this new age still symbolizes her as she “entered a new era of life.”
Ora stated in a release that she felt compelled to document the process of letting go of the past to make room for new experiences through her music. “Learning to let go of the past to make room for new experiences is a deeply personal process, and one I felt compelled to document through my music,” she said. “The journey was not always easy, but I’ve come out of it stronger and filled with more love than I ever thought possible.”
Ora’s upcoming third studio album will be her first release since her album Phoenix in 2018. There has yet to be a word on when the product will be made available.
