Ashley Pugh, Jay Briscoe’s wife, requested prayers for their daughter’s upcoming surgery. Let’s discuss Jay Briscoe’s daughter’s health.
What happened to Jay Briscoe’s daughters?
It was reported earlier today that Jay Briscoe, who had reached the age of 38 years, had passed away. It has been clear how many people’s lives he influenced throughout his storied career through the deluge of condolences that have poured in from the wrestling world.
Reportedly, AEW star Jay Briscoe, 38, was allegedly heading home from his kids’ cheerleading competition in Laurel, Delaware, at 5.30 p.m. when he collided with another car. The competition was taking place in Delaware.
According to reports, Briscoe’s kids rode with him in the car when he was killed in an automobile accident.
Tony Khan, the owner of AEW and Ring of Honor, broke the heartbreaking news of Jamin Pugh’s loss on social media. Jamin Pugh was a close friend of Jay Briscoe.
Dave Meltzer said in a subsequent statement that it seemed as though Briscoe had been killed in a vehicle accident near Laurel, Delaware. The collision also resulted in the deaths of two other people, including two children, and wounded two others.
Jay Briscoe’s daughter’s health status report
A heartbreaking update on Briscoe Pugh’s family was shared on Facebook by Ashley Pugh, who is Briscoe’s spouse. Because their daughter Gracie was about to have back surgery, she asked for prayers. Jayleigh, their other daughter, was also injured “quite seriously,” although she is currently recuperating and is in stable condition.
Who are Gracie and Jayleigh?
Earlier that day, Ashley posted pictures of their daughter’s participation in the Spirit of Hope cheer competition. One of the pictures featured a photograph in which the Ring of Honor champion was driving, Ashley was sitting in the passenger seat, and their two daughters were in the backseat, already dressed and styled for the event. Ashley had posted the photograph on her Instagram account.
After the family had had a pit stop at a local Crumbl Cookies store before the competition, the girls were captured dancing their hearts out on top of the pyramids.
The legacy of Jay Briscoe
Pugh’s devotion to his family was cited as one of his most admirable qualities in the heartfelt condolence messages posted on social media yesterday evening and this morning by members of the professional wrestling world. Pugh was happy and willing to share a video of him and one of his children performing a cheering routine. While some wrestlers would be afraid to broadcast recordings of themselves practising in public, Pugh shared a video showing the two of them doing so.
Briscoe joined Ring of Honor in 2002, shortly after forming a tag team with his brother Mark. Together, the two became one of the most successful wrestling combinations in history. They were inducted into the inaugural class of the Ring of Honor Hall of Fame in 2022, and he also enjoyed success as a singles star, winning the ROH World Championship on two separate occasions. Briscoe was an enthusiastic supporter of the Ring of Honor brand for over twenty years.
In addition to having won the ROH World Championship twice, he held the tag team championship 13 times. The Briscoe Brothers competed in well-known promotions, including NJPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, IMPACT Wrestling, and GCW, where they won many series titles while also competing in a wide variety of other wrestling competitions across the world. More importantly, he was a dedicated father, and our thoughts and prayers are with them in this difficult time.
