After a shooting at a Cleveland home on Friday night that left two adults and a teenager dead and another adult and a young child critically injured, authorities said a man was captured.
Around 8 p.m. on Friday, the 41-year-old suspect pulled down officers in a police car and reported that five individuals had been shot at a residence in the Brooklyn Centre district, a few miles south of downtown, according to Cleveland police. The man, a relative of the two fatally injured adults, was arrested.

On Mack Court on Cleveland’s west side, a shooting spree at one home initially resulted in the deaths of three individuals and the hospitalisation of a man and a child battling for their lives.
Three persons were pronounced dead there and then. The three victims—34-year-old Angelic Gonzalez, her 69-year-old father, Miguel Gonzalez, and her 16-year-old son, Jayden Baez—died in a home in Cleveland.
According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office and the police, Anthony Boothe, 48, a fourth shooting victim receiving medical care at the hospital, passed away at MetroHealth Medical Center over the weekend.
The 8-year-old daughter was also shot and was sent to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition.
The infant was still being held at the hospital, according to police reports from Sunday. According to the affidavit, a child aged eight is still hospitalised and in severe condition.

On Saturday, three more persons were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cuyahoga County medical examiner’s office.

Anthony Boothe, a 48-year-old fourth victim, passed away in the hospital.
Who is Martin Muniz?
On Friday night, a man was accused of killing four people and an 8-year-old child in Cleveland’s Brooklyn Center.
Martin Muniz, 41, was accused of three aggravated murder charges on Sunday, according to court records. There could be more accusations made. On Tuesday, he is expected to show up in Cleveland Municipal Court.
Muniz’s sister, father, and nephew, according to the police, are Angelic, Miguel,& Jayden. Muniz allegedly shot the family’s five members in the head several times throughout the house, according to his criminal affidavit.
Muniz is held at a house in the 3700 block of Mack Court and is charged with the murders of his father, sister, and nephew.
A criminal complaint submitted in Cleveland Municipal Court claims that on January 13, at 7:10 p.m., Muniz reportedly shot all five victims in the head.
The victims’ location and the gunshot were reported by Muniz to the police at around 7:50 p.m. according to the police.
After learning that numerous people had been shot, police were called to the residence Friday night at about 8 o’clock.

Cleveland Police Chief Wayne Drummond said, “We feel preliminary evidence indicates it’s domestic-related. The inquiry is ongoing, and our thoughts are with the family, friends, and others.
Cleveland City Council President Blaine A. Griffin and Councilwoman Jasmin Santana made the following statement on the incident:

Our thoughts are with the victims’ loved ones and friends. We appreciate the community’s and law enforcement’s quick response in locating and apprehending the individual who is allegedly guilty of this terrible atrocity.
As new information becomes available, the Cleveland Division of Police will keep the neighbourhood informed.
In response to the shooting, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb also issued a statement:
This week has been difficult as we deal with the destruction brought on by yet another awful act of gun violence in our city.
Because it happened at home, where a family should feel safe and protected, tonight’s incident is horrible.
I’m sending my condolences and prayers to the victims’ and neighbours’ friends and family as they cope with this terrible situation. I also appreciate the responding officers for helping, securing the area, and promptly catching the offender. As events develop, we will offer updates.
The police revealed on Saturday that Muniz is the half-brother and nephew of Miguel Gonzalez, 69, and Angelic Gonzalez, 34, all of whom were murdered. Son of Angelic Gonzalez, 16-year-old Baez.
