A father, reportedly in good health and shape, passed away unexpectedly in his residence overseas. On January 4, Glasgow resident Brian Ferguson passed away from what seemed to be a heart attack.
In the beach town of Manilva, close to Malaga, the 65-year-old man was discovered dead in his flat.

Brian last talked to Janine on Tuesday, January 3, at about 3 p.m. She is now a resident of Qatar. He claimed to feel “dizzy,” but Janine demanded he takes a taxi to his landlord’s house so he could pay his rent in person despite his claim.
Instead, he said that he would walk for an hour because it was a beautiful day and vowed to get in touch with her when he came home. Brian stopped replying to Janine’s texts after five o’clock, and she found out. From 8 o’clock on, she tried contacting him every half-hour, but to no avail.
Janine checked in with Brian’s identical twin brother, who also lives in Málaga, on January 4 after a rough night. Unresponsive, Brian was discovered there.
Brian Ferguson passed away on January 4, 2023.
Being the primary carer for her mother, Janine is tragically unclear if she will be able to travel to Glasgow for Brian’s burial in the coming weeks.
She continued by expressing her unease with the memories she and her partner had created in the city and her concern that returning to Spain may “destroy” her.
