Who was Jesse Sainz Camacho?

Police in west Phoenix report that a child is dead after being taken hostage during a home invasion. A home at 91st Avenue and Camelback Road is where the event happened on December 19. Jesse Sainz Camacho, 17, was taken from the house by the suspects at around 3:15 in the morning, according to Phoenix Police.

Camacho’s grandfather was shot while he slept inside the Maryvale house, but he is expected to recover. According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Philip Krinsky, Jesse was the intended victim of that home invasion.

The suspects left the scene with Camacho in a dark vehicle following the shooting. According to investigators, on December 28, Camacho’s remains were reportedly found in a remote area of Maricopa County.

The suspects remain on the loose. We want to ensure that we remove these individuals from the street, Sgt. Krinsky said. Once more, we’re hunting for you, finding you, and holding you liable. With this, we don’t want there to be any more violence.

Investigations are still ongoing into Camacho’s passing. The official reason for death is still a secret.

Neighbors respond to this Incident

After Camacho was kidnapped, police combed the neighbourhood to try to piece together what happened. To put it on everyone’s radar, Phoenix Police Sergeant Phil Krinsky said, “Please keep a look out for these people, as well as for Jesse.”

A resident claimed to have seen everything from his bedroom window but asked to remain anonymous for security. The man claimed I was up at around two and talking to my friends on the phone. Then, I hear gunfire. We encourage you not to approach these individuals, Sgt. Krinsky said. Please share your knowledge with us so that the police can follow up on leads and safely return Jesse to his home while holding those responsible for his actions accountable.

The neighbours wanted Jesse to get home without incident. It’s crazy, said the neighbour who asked to remain unidentified, “I went to school with him last year.” It was odd that it happened in my neighbourhood and that one of my neighbours was involved. I would have never thought of something like that while out here.
