The singer, now known as Ye, is “missing,” according to the US Sun, as his ex-business manager attempts to serve him with a $4.5 million lawsuit.
Thomas St. John, who is suing the erratic “Gold Digger” rapper and his firm Yeezy for claimed unpaid costs, told a judge that he has also been unable to locate Ye’s correct location.
What happened to Kanye West?
The 45-year-old mogul’s whereabouts became public after Daily Loud tweeted, “Kanye West has apparently been gone and difficult to find contact for weeks according to his ex-business manager.”
According to documents acquired by the news source, St. John requested an extension until the end of March to serve the lawsuit on December 19.
The former company manager is also said to have been unable to contact Ye’s legal team.
“We were informed of a new law firm representing defendants, but not a specific point of contact,” according to the court filing published by the US Sun.
“We then learnt via the press that the legal firm designated as new counsel was not linked with the accused. As a result, we have not been able to serve defendants through their counsel,” according to the statement.
“In general, we have had difficulties confirming Kanye West’s best current address,” it adds.
Is he alright?
“For Mr. West, despite our thorough efforts, we were unable to identify his current residence address, and consequently, have not yet undertaken steps to serve him personally. Instead, we sought to serve him by letter at various probable addresses,” according to the complaint.
According to the documents, St. John failed to serve the rapper at his California properties in Hidden Hills, Malibu, and Calabasas.
“We will continue to make thorough and reasonable efforts to serve defendants,” including engaging “relevant agencies” to assist in tracking down the elusive artist.
Bills are still due for Kanye
According to the story, St. John alleges he was not paid for the 18-month guaranteed period he worked for Ye, even though he only worked for three months and was meant to be paid $300,000 for each of them.
According to the lawsuit, in January 2022, Ye reportedly became “heated and hostile” and “screamed” at St. John, stating that he no longer wanted to cooperate with him.
“When challenged with the 18-month promise that had just been made, Mr. West said statements to the effect of ‘The 18-month term was bull—’ and ‘You’re nuts for even believing I’d stick to it,'” according to the lawsuit.
Kanye nor his representative have replied to the outlet’s request for comment on the court complaint.
According to the US Sun, Ye was last seen publicly on December 18, when he was seen carrying two of his children to church.
The rapper has recently been in the news after launching a weird anti-Semitic outburst on social media. During an outlandish appearance with “Infowars” presenter and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, he even lauded Adolf Hitler.
“I see positive aspects of Hitler as well. “Every human person, particularly Hitler, had worth they brought to the table,” he remarked.
Due to recent unfavorable headlines, he has lost valuable collaborations with big companies such as Adidas and Gap.
Adidas, a German sportswear manufacturer, severed relations with Ye last month.
