Dr Bolek Payan, a psychiatrist at the Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan, hasn’t spoken to anyone from his social circle, family, or coworkers. Additionally, his car was discovered by the police in Leoni Township at his residence.

What happened to Dr. Bolek Payan?

Days before Christmas, a doctor went missing, and his body was found in the arctic waters, ending the search for him.

According to the authorities, Dr Bolek Payan’s body was found on Tuesday by divers in a pond on his property in Leoni Township, Michigan.

When Blackman Township Police gained access to Payan’s home surveillance system, they saw the doctor leave the house on foot the day he vanished.

Following the failure of K-9 units, drones, and search parties to locate Payan, authorities hacked holes through the ice of a pond not far from his home.

Divers found his body on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m., concealed by a large block of solid ice.

How did Dr. Bolek Payan die?

In a frozen pond not far from his home, Bolek Payan, a Michigan doctor who had been missing since the previous week, was found on Tuesday.

According to the Blackman-Leoni Township Department of Public Safety, Bolek Payan’s body was discovered in Jackson County at 12:30 p.m. in an ice pond.

According to the public safety office, police utilised dogs, drones, and police officers to look into the area around Payan’s house before authorities began to break holes in the ice covering the pond.

Due to the weather on the day he left his home and the fact that he was in the water, investigators believe Dr Payan would have perished before he was reported missing, according to police.

Dr. Bolek Payan cause of death:

The autopsy and toxicology report will be completed by the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

The discovery ended the search for Payan, who was last seen on December 22, leaving Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospital in Jackson, Michigan, about 82 miles west of Detroit.

Police searched the neighbouring woods after discovering that Payan’s truck was still parked at his house when he vanished. Family friend Nicole Keiser was one of the last people to see Payan after he arrived to drop off his dogs on Thursday.

“Bolek dropped his dogs off on Thursday at 8 a.m. He informed us that he would pick them up at 6:30, that he had already fed them, and that he would feed them once more when he picked them up that evening, according to Keiser.

“It would be out of character for his pickup to be here without him going to the house to pick up the dogs. Unknown to me, something happened.

Keiser said that he was “out of character” to leave without getting the dogs.

He graduated from Illinois’ Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017 with a medical degree, according to Henry Ford Health.

Psychiatry was Payan’s area of specialisation, and he started his residency there in 2020, according to his bio on the Henry Ford website.
