According to a friend of her daughter, the mother of two who was killed in a home invasion in north Brisbane on Boxing Day, “considered everyone family.”
Flowers were left at the residence in North Lakes where Emma Lovell was fatally stabbed on Tuesday by Skye Fleming, 14.
Lee Lovell, Ms Lovell’s 43-year-old husband, was stabbed but only sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
The younger of Ms Lovell’s two kids were Ms Fleming’s pals, and the 41-year-old woman was like a “second mother” to her, according to Ms Fleming.
Brisbane home invasion:
It is claimed that Emma Lovell was stabbed while defending herself from two trespassers who barged into her North Lakes home late last night.
Investigators are receiving assistance from four people who were seen leaving a nearby house with police. On Monday night, reportedly breaking-and-entering suspects entered Emma Lovell’s, 41, and Lee’s, 43-year-old North Lakes home, located north of Brisbane.
According to reports, a battle broke out on Whitfield Crescent in North Lakes on Monday night at about 11:30 p.m. Queensland Police were summoned to the scene.
Before a battle allegedly broke out on the front porch, Ms Lovell, 41, and her husband, Lee Lovell, 43, were said to have been surprised by the intruders.
Emma and Lee were undoubtedly attempting to protect their kids from these home invasion bandits who had devastated the lives of every member of the Lovell family.
What happened to Emma Lovell and her husband, Lee?
During the altercation, Ms Lovell was seriously hurt. Mrs Lovell suffered chest injuries and died on the scene despite the paramedics’ best efforts to revive her with a thoracotomy procedure.
After spending Christmas Day at the beach with her family and returning from a holiday to the Sunshine Coast, she was killed a few hours later.
Lee, her husband, was transported in a critical but stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital after suffering non-life-threatening back injuries.
As one neighbour rushed to Mrs Lovell’s aid, the stunning neighbourhood heard Mrs Lovell’s daughters scream in horror, “Someone assist my mum, help my mum.”
According to reports, the mother of two daughters reportedly visited the Sunshine Coast recently with her family before heading back to her home in northern Brisbane.
So, for the first time in 11 years, she said on social media, “we spent Christmas day on the beach, even managed to cook up some bacon and eggs.” I hope everyone enjoys their Christmas day with family and friends.
Police investigation:
Four people assisted the detectives in their work, one of whom was seen donning a full-blue forensic uniform.
No one has been arrested or given a charge. Strangers have started to honour Ms Lovell and express their sorrow at her premature death, especially at this time of year.

Tributes to Emma Lovell:
Tragic, indeed. I feel horrible for this lovely family living in our neighbourhood. Hopefully, this will lessen their financial load. I’m thinking of them all. Every one of us has a right to safety, especially in our own homes.
We were quite saddened to learn that Emma was one of our clients. All the impacted family members and friends, especially her husband and kids, are in our thoughts.
EMMA LOVELL IS IMPORTANT: REMEMBERING! 26th of December, 2022 Yesterday evening in North Lakes, Queensland, 43-year-old Emma Lovell was fatally stabbed. Additionally, the hurt was her spouse. Emma is the 12th fatality of an Australian woman in the past four weeks and the 57th in 2022. In custody are four men.
Throw the book at these crooks, stop with the light sentences and slaps on the wrists, and let justice be served for this poor woman and her family so that her death won’t have blood running through it.
Police claim that Emma was slain during a home invasion by the males. When the men are accused of killing Emma, she and her husband have just arrived home from their Christmas vacation. She was attempting to defend herself, her husband, and her possessions. Adieu, Emma Lovell!
