Who is Jack DuCoeur? Is he the murderer of Idaho students?

According to reports, two University of Idaho students who were killed had contacted “Jack” several times before the tragedy. On Sunday, November 13, the bodies of Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, and Xana Kernodle, 20, his girlfriend, were discovered inside an off-campus apartment in Moscow, Idaho. The identity of “Jack” has now been revealed to be Jack DuCoeur, an ex-boyfriend of Goncalves.

Who is Jack DuCoeur?

Jack DuCoeur was romantically involved with Kaylee Goncalves, who was killed at the University of Idaho. Goncalves and the victim Madison Mogen, both University of Idaho students, called DuCoeur ten times before the shootings.

Before the tragedy, “Jack” received calls from two University of Idaho students who were killed. The bodies of Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, and his girlfriend Xana Kernodle, 20, were found on Sunday, November 13, at an off-campus apartment in Moscow, Idaho. As of right now, it is known that “Jack” is Goncalves’ ex-boyfriend Jack DuCoeur. The murder is still unsolved.

Goncalves’ sister Alivea: Statement

Goncalves’ sister Alive allegedly stated on Friday, November 18, that her sister made six calls to a friend named “Jack” between the hours of 2.26 and 2.44 in the morning. Mogen got in touch with him three times before Goncalves tried again.

The Idaho University murder investigation has been challenging and unpleasant for the families of the four victims. Still, it has also affected one of the victim’s ex-boyfriends, whose life has been upended by suspicion.

Jack DuCoeur dated Kaylee Goncalves for five years, according to his aunt Brooke Miller, who spoke to the NY Post, and referred to her as the love of his life throughout that period. Miller believes that Kaylee and Jack would still have wed even if they had broken up.

Kaylee broke up with DuCoeur

Kaylee ended her relationship with DuCoeur three weeks before the murders. Miller believes the split was amicable even though she acknowledges her nephew was sad about it.

Police ruled DuCoeur out shortly after the massacre on November 13, but he has since been the target of “crazy conspiracies,” according to an aunt who spoke to the New York Post in a recent interview.

She continued, “He’s not only lost the love of his life, and what we all believed and I’m sure he thought would be his future wife—you know, get married and have kids and all that.

Kaylee’s Family Says They ‘Stand Behind Jack 100 Percent’

Miller said that DeCoeur, a mechanical engineering major at the university, was “obviously” distraught by the breakup and that the couple “were still friends.” She said the separation was amicable and that Goncalves “plans to go away.”

A few days after the killings, it was discovered that Goncalves and Mogen called Jack at least seven times in the hours before their deaths. Jack’s parents, Steve and Kristi Goncalves have also vowed to support him “100%.”

DuCoeur mourns Kaylee’s loss

Miller referred to online accusations that her nephew was behind the murders as “wild conspiracies,” adding, “We all know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that there’s no way that Jack would ever do anything like that to anyone.” She asserted that DeCoeur is finding it challenging to consider returning to school. Because Kaylee significantly impacted his life in Moscow, he finds it difficult even to fathom going back.

GiveSendGo campaign

To pay for a private investigator and legal team to assist in the case’s investigation, the Goncalves family has to raise $20,000. Miller is in charge of a GiveSendGo campaign to do this. “The very last thing that this family wants to happen is for it to become a cold case,” she was cited by The Post as saying.

On her Facebook profile, Goncalves frequently shared pictures of DuCoeur, whom her parents allege she intended to marry. The incoming calls are connected to the ongoing inquiry, according to the police.

Madison and Kaylee, the victims, had many phone chats with a male, according to a statement from Moscow police. In light of these data, the investigation continues.

We are supporting him, and we know in the depths of our souls that Jack is mourning, Kaylee’s mother stated in a statement to Fox. “Jack and Kaylee finally would have wed. They would have eventually gotten married and had children. Despite her Instagram page showing her with friends, earlier pictures on Facebook suggest she was extremely close to DuCoeur. They went boating to sporting events and other activities.

Is he the murderer of Idaho students?

Due to the ten calls that Goncalves and Madison Mogen placed to DuCoeur in the days leading up to the killings, police were made aware of him shortly after the crimes.

However, the suspicion persisted even after police exonerated DuCoeur. In Miller’s words, the “half of America” thinks that her nephew might be at fault.

DuCoeur has faced scathing criticism online, with some people suspecting him of being the offender. In any case, Goncalves’ family has backed DuCoeur and said that he wasn’t to blame for her demise.

Miller told the Post, “Jack would never do something like that to anyone. We all know that beyond a shadow of a doubt. The murders are still a mystery after six weeks, at least to the broader public.

On November 20, 2022, the police chief was questioned about whether Jack DuCoeur had been cleared of the killings. He replied, “Everything we have collected from those calls, we have followed up on, we have cleared, and we believe there is no connection there.”

The chief mentioned several people who had been cleared earlier in the news conference (the former housemates, the private driver who took them home), but he left DuCoeur off the list.

The police afterwards gave another update. The roommates’ phones were used to call 911, they claimed, and they did not believe the private party that drove the girls was involved. According to the investigators, the victims were discovered on the second and third floors of the home.
