A 20-year-old guy who went missing in Minnesota has been discovered dead. After his body was discovered in Baytown Township on Christmas Day about 7:00 p.m., the hunt for George Musser came to an end.
“The family of George has been informed. Since this case is still being investigated, there is no more information at this time, according to police statements made on Sunday, according to CBS News.
George Musser found dead
In search of Mr. Musser, who was last seen at Brian’s Bar in Stillwater, east Minneapolis-St. Paul, earlier in the day, hundreds of people showed there on Christmas morning, according to CBS Minnesota. One of the final witnesses to Mr. Musser, Ally McKay, told CBS that “he came to the booth where I was sitting with my companions at 1:30 in the morning and talked to us.”And he told us that he had to go to the bathroom and never came back.
He was last seen at the pub at roughly 2:10 a.m., according to the police. His car was left parked outside, and his keys and wallet were discovered next to the bar. Despite it being below zero outside, Mr. Musser was dressed in jeans, a grey flannel shirt, and a black cap. We searched for him as the pub was shutting, but Brian requested everyone leave, so we had to leave and presume he had returned, Ms. McKay said. On Saturday, friends and family members began looking, and others joined on Christmas Day.
Mr. Musser’s cousin, Emily Dalbec, told CBS at the time, “We prepare for the worse but hope for the best — and that’s why we want everyone in the neighbourhood to start looking.”
Stillwater Police Chief Brian Mueller told the outlet that efforts to locate Mr Musser via surveillance footage and cellphone data had been unsuccessful, saying it was “a very difficult situation”.
The local police department said in a news release late Sunday that “no further information is available at this time as this matter is still under investigation. We appreciate all the wonderful volunteers who came over Christmas to help find George.” “Our prayers are with all the family and friends who knew and loved George. We ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this difficult time,” police said.
What did his friends and family said?
According to Emily Dalbec, Musser’s cousin, “We’re ready for the worst, but hoping for the best, which is why we’re letting everyone in the town go looking.”
On Christmas Day, more family and friends joined in after trying on Saturday. “I love it because I’m a dad. What the family is going through, I just can’t image,” Mueller added. Since yesterday, I’ve been speaking with the family. It’s definitely a great community to live in – very lucky. So I just hope we can find the solution for the Musser family.” “We are very lucky that all these people are willing to seek him out on vacation in such cold temperatures,” Dalbec said.
