He was nominated for a Shorty Award in the Vineographer category. He is also very popular on Instagram and Twitter with over 3.1 million followers on his Instagram account and over 800,000 followers on his Twitter account. His brother Logan Paul is also a very famous vineyard star.

Why did the Browns ‘sign’ Jake Paul?

Once a competitive wrestler, Jake Paul switched to a completely different career in September 2013 when he opened his Vine account and started uploading videos. He was quickly recognized as one of Vine’s rising stars, his account amassing 2 million followers in just eight months. After that, there was no looking back for this teenager and he only raised his bar and popularity as a Vine Star.

The Browns have had a rough season, which is to be expected after their starting quarterback was suspended for the most part. They’re 6-8 and out of the AFC playoff picture heading into Week 16. But they’ve added something late in the season that, if nothing else, will attract an oddly loyal fan base.

On Friday, the day before Christmas Eve, the team signed boxer and YouTuber Jake Paul to join their social media team. The decision was announced at a press conference. The event was what you would expect from a football club signing an influencer. Brown’s executive vice president, J.W. Johnson tested his comedic skills in scripted dialogue with Paul.

What will Jake Paul do for the Browns?

Paul’s official title is junior associate content assistant, which he jokingly took offense to because he thought he was being assigned as a slot receiver.

Jake and his brother, Logan, are from Cleveland and are no strangers to the NFL world. In fact, the Dolphins are “hosting” Jake for a training camp visit in August.

Based on that video, it’s clear why the Dolphins didn’t hire him as a catcher.
