At the age of 72, Franco Harris, a former running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, passed away. Hall of Fame running back RB created the “Immaculate Reception,” which is said to be the most popular NFL move. Despite having a stellar career, Harris had a somewhat alone life.
His relatives informed the Associated Press that he had passed away. Harris, it seems, passed away overnight. The verified cause of death, however, has not been disclosed by the family.
Husband Dana Dokmanovich and son Dok are Harris’ survivors. Harris was a four-time Super Bowl champion. There are a few pictures of Harris from his personal life, and Harris appears to have an official but unconfirmed Instagram account. With little over 38,000 followers, Harris’ Instagram largely consists of pictures from events he’s been to as well as those of him with famous people and followers he’s met. Less information is available about his wife. In fact, Dokmanovich has yet to release an official statement regarding the NFL legend’s death. Although there isn’t enough information about their marriage or engagement, they probably dated long before they got married.
When did Franco Harris marry Dana Dokmanovich?
Franco Harris has, as already noted, been quite discreet about his personal life. Contrary to NFL players his age, Harris’ social media presence was confined to business and events, seldom mentioning the private times he spent with his family.
Not much is available about Harris’ dating history, even after he began dating Dakmanovish.
Incidentally, IMBD’s trivia page on the star refers to his wife as a “longtime girlfriend.” Considering Harris’ 13 seasons in the NFL, the two appear to have been together for quite some time before getting married.
Do Franco and Dana Harris have children?
Having said that, Doc was the one who informed The Associated Press about his father’s passing. Dok briefed the media, but his family held back from making any personal remarks. It’s interesting to note that Dok ran for Pittsburgh mayor in 2009. He received 25% of the vote, placing second.
Harris, a four-year student at Penn State University and one of the NFL’s top running backs, is a native of Fort Dix, New Jersey.
Dana does not had any grandkids as of December 2022.
This time around, her son Dok is not married.
In an interview with Pittsburgh Magazine in 2010, Dok responded to a question regarding his relationship and parenting situation by saying: “still unmarried. I have yet to encounter a lady who possesses the ideal balance of patience, patience, patience, and the capacity to overlook my propensity for repetition.”
