The mother and daughter fatally shot in their Merle Hay neighbourhood home early on Monday have been named by Des Moines police.
The mother was named Danielle Remily, 47, and the daughter was identified as Emma Parker, 20. They shared a residence in the 2600 block of 53rd St., where the shooting occurred.
The suspect, according to Des Moines police, was the daughter’s ex-boyfriend.
The man, whose identity was not made public, was discovered at Riley Park with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a hospital, where later on Monday, he was listed in critical condition.
