At the age of 16, Vardy started his senior career with Stocksbridge Park Steels, after being released by Sheffield Wednesday and started breaking into the first team in 2007 and in 2010, before joining Northern Premier League club FC Halifax Town, he spend three seasons there in 2010.
He won the club’s “Players’ Player of the Year” award due to scoring 25 goals in his debut season, and then in August 2011, he shifted to Conference Premier club Fleetwood Town for an undescribed fee.
